Not my day either

Woke up with a headache...bad enough to decide against going to JKC for Wolves training (grrr... wanted to take today's photo there! :( ). Slept a bit longer to "sleep it off" but during that time the headache increased and I had to take a tablet.

Just had a light lunch (salad) and did the washing up/switching on the dishwasher so I've moved around the house a bit (like DH suggests most times - he doesn't have tension headaches/migraines though, so I'm not always following that suggestion). Headache is more tension now, sitting currently at the nape of my neck... an area where I usually get headaches but it moves to the front as well... not this time. :( My back hurts from all the "work out" yesterday in the pantry and with the car. So ... another duvet-ish day for me today. Just have to go and cook dinner later.

Hope DH is getting along ok with the car ... he's taken the battery charger with him ... just in case.

Sooo... now I have to figure out what to do for the 365 Photo challenge today... :o

Back to watching TV ... British Eurosport has a lot of Alpine Skiing, Ski Jumping, Bobsleigh, Luge, Biathlon etc. on today - at least something for me today.

Welcome to the BritBowl XXI house... Day 1

Well... Friday usually doesn't count for the FANS of BritBowl, but the helpers start much earlier. :) We left Edinburgh at 2pm, fully packed car with the BAFL Shop stuff we didn't sell at our home games and a poor Allan being slightly cramped on the single back seat. Weather to start with was ok - so no horrendous rain like last year!!! Had a fairly good drive down the A1 but when we arrived before Newcastle we had the annual problem with the bridge crossing!! Don't know why, but arriving at the bridge at 3:30pm just doesn't work. We were stuck for about 15 mins for no apparent reason!! :( And yes, we had the same problem last year. Once we got past the Angel of the North, the traffic was flowing again. There was a car with a nocked bonnet on the other side with a police car around, so I can only assume it's that "human curiosity/morbidity" that made the traffic slow down. Phew!!! Took me longer than I thought!!! :) Maybe I should leave the crafty bits out ... I am a slow scrapper after all (found that out at the Cyber Crop!!). But have to say I LOVE that LO. Used acetate with stazon white opaque (over photo), snowflake eyelets, snowflake button and snowflake vellum sticker. The prompt today suggested we cut a paper snowflake ... well, I had three attempts and am absolutely rubbish at it!! So I decided I try my luck with a quilled snowflake ... first time ever for me to do a snowflake and you can see the wonky result! LOL.

Still struggling with sleep deprivation from Superbowl on Sunday, but hey … maybe I’ll get finally to sleep BEFORE midnight. And since 11am this morning the “little secret” from the Adamsons is now not a secret anymore. WE ARE PREGNANT WITH TWINS!!!!  The IVF run in December was positive (typical, the one we thought won’t do anything and we’ll have to go down to London to get immune issues checked out), and we had our official 12 week scan today. Both Chip and Chap are doing fine, are moving about, have all limbs and noses and chins and heartbeats. And I’m feeling as if a big rock’s been removed from my shoulders … have been reading too many horror stories about twin pregnancies resulting in just one baby born or even losing both. Think with 5 years IVF in the bag we know far too much about the medical background and are more likely to worry about what COULD go wrong instead of “enjoying the pregnancy”.
