Feeling off ...

Had drumming headaches on Monday and a bit on Tuesday, today I feel as if I've pulled my glutes... not nice! :( Haven't been to the gym since Sunday and just feel "OFF" ... not sure if that's the "slump" of the Zolly, or just the weather, or whatever... :(

House improvement is getting along nicely, although there are lots of to and fro-ing from Chip getting more/correct materials as the "town houses" here seem to have been dealt with at not 100% good standard. Our en-suite looks like a single optical illusion. Got the 2nd door on the vanity chest, and Chip's now upstairs trying to get rid of the tank (which he's done today ... and I really feared more than once that he'd be falling through the ceiling into the study at some point!). Flooring the loft is going on tomorrow I believe.

Got at least the CJ for the SBS Forum done and sent today ... really have to stick to doing my entries as soon as the new CJs arrive. :(

Going to see "Ghost Rider" tonight ... if I can survive sitting that long that is. We're trying to get our money's worth out of our annual cinema passes as we've only seen 3 movies this year - Eragon, The Illusionist and last Friday The Good Shepherd ... which I didn't get really at all.

Welcome to the BritBowl XXI house... Day 1

Well... Friday usually doesn't count for the FANS of BritBowl, but the helpers start much earlier. :) We left Edinburgh at 2pm, fully packed car with the BAFL Shop stuff we didn't sell at our home games and a poor Allan being slightly cramped on the single back seat. Weather to start with was ok - so no horrendous rain like last year!!! Had a fairly good drive down the A1 but when we arrived before Newcastle we had the annual problem with the bridge crossing!! Don't know why, but arriving at the bridge at 3:30pm just doesn't work. We were stuck for about 15 mins for no apparent reason!! :( And yes, we had the same problem last year. Once we got past the Angel of the North, the traffic was flowing again. There was a car with a nocked bonnet on the other side with a police car around, so I can only assume it's that "human curiosity/morbidity" that made the traffic slow down. Phew!!! Took me longer than I thought!!! :) Maybe I should leave the crafty bits out ... I am a slow scrapper after all (found that out at the Cyber Crop!!). But have to say I LOVE that LO. Used acetate with stazon white opaque (over photo), snowflake eyelets, snowflake button and snowflake vellum sticker. The prompt today suggested we cut a paper snowflake ... well, I had three attempts and am absolutely rubbish at it!! So I decided I try my luck with a quilled snowflake ... first time ever for me to do a snowflake and you can see the wonky result! LOL.

Still struggling with sleep deprivation from Superbowl on Sunday, but hey … maybe I’ll get finally to sleep BEFORE midnight. And since 11am this morning the “little secret” from the Adamsons is now not a secret anymore. WE ARE PREGNANT WITH TWINS!!!!  The IVF run in December was positive (typical, the one we thought won’t do anything and we’ll have to go down to London to get immune issues checked out), and we had our official 12 week scan today. Both Chip and Chap are doing fine, are moving about, have all limbs and noses and chins and heartbeats. And I’m feeling as if a big rock’s been removed from my shoulders … have been reading too many horror stories about twin pregnancies resulting in just one baby born or even losing both. Think with 5 years IVF in the bag we know far too much about the medical background and are more likely to worry about what COULD go wrong instead of “enjoying the pregnancy”.
