Ongoing stories...

Well... guess what ... our dishwasher packed in AGAIN after 2 washes ... again error E4 (something to do with drainage). We finally got an engineer coming around today, same bloke as last time - who was trying for about 15 minutes to get the dishwasher out and then said he can't do anything as he can't get it out. I (still fairly nice) told him that the first engineer got it out and put it back. Reply along the lines "Might be, but I can't get it out, the back right leg is bent and the others are Y POINT???? They are not in our divis"threaded". Soooo... he is going to put in a report, and hopefully that will sort our problem and we'll get either a replacement or money back.

I mean - come on! Having a dishwasher which does only have been con work 2 days out of 7 kinda defies the purpose of that blimming thing, isn't it????

And on other news ... the vicious people still don't let go.

Such a nasty/vicious behaviour is just outright shock to me!!!


Apart from all those nasties of the day I got some housework done, finally got to take the 2 bags of clothing to the recycling place and filled in most of 5 forms for DH as I have "a nicer handwriting". Ever tried to fill in 5 forms (3 pages each with lots of text to write) on one day?? My hand is better now, no cramps or anything... but DH owes me a lot now! ;)

That dishwasher is a saga in itself. Remind me never to buy one of those ones!

I hope the saddos who are being nasty grow up soon!

Welcome to the BritBowl XXI house... Day 1

Well... Friday usually doesn't count for the FANS of BritBowl, but the helpers start much earlier. :) We left Edinburgh at 2pm, fully packed car with the BAFL Shop stuff we didn't sell at our home games and a poor Allan being slightly cramped on the single back seat. Weather to start with was ok - so no horrendous rain like last year!!! Had a fairly good drive down the A1 but when we arrived before Newcastle we had the annual problem with the bridge crossing!! Don't know why, but arriving at the bridge at 3:30pm just doesn't work. We were stuck for about 15 mins for no apparent reason!! :( And yes, we had the same problem last year. Once we got past the Angel of the North, the traffic was flowing again. There was a car with a nocked bonnet on the other side with a police car around, so I can only assume it's that "human curiosity/morbidity" that made the traffic slow down. Phew!!! Took me longer than I thought!!! :) Maybe I should leave the crafty bits out ... I am a slow scrapper after all (found that out at the Cyber Crop!!). But have to say I LOVE that LO. Used acetate with stazon white opaque (over photo), snowflake eyelets, snowflake button and snowflake vellum sticker. The prompt today suggested we cut a paper snowflake ... well, I had three attempts and am absolutely rubbish at it!! So I decided I try my luck with a quilled snowflake ... first time ever for me to do a snowflake and you can see the wonky result! LOL.

… and we’re now TINY BABIES

In Mothercare clothing that is. Today’s visit from the Health Visitor showed that Megan is now 2.99kgs (6.9lbs), and Kara (the wee older sister who’s weight has us worried because she’s soo tiny in comparison to big little sister Megan) is now 2.57kgs (5.11lbs). Which is incidentally Megan’s birth weight. So, whenever I find the time, I’ll have to sort out our “Early Baby” size clothes (i.e. anything up to 5lbs). Didn’t last long, but I’m glad both are putting on the weight. We’re still on 3hrly feeds, but I think we’re getting used to that routine, and somehow I think mothers tend to cope with less sleep once the routine comes into force. I’ll take a nap after the next feed, mind. We still have to work on the breast feeding, but we’ll get there. Don’t think I’ll BFing 100%, but planning on bottle feed EBM during the night feeds (currently SMA during nights).
