Weird people on the Internet ...
You really have to wonder sometimes ... had a comment on my last post which I have deleted as I really don't need that kind of crap on here...
"Your little army looks so happy in their Macho-hate uniforms. I hope you are proud of yourself."
Makes you wonder why people post random nastiness like that (apart from known people who do some nasty postings on an open forum etc ... yep, they STILL can't let it go, I tell ya!!!).
Now ... shall we go through that comment? My Little "Army" ... not my army, not little either (ok, photo is last year's, and our squad is about double the size this year. ;) ). Macho-hate uniforms ... errr??? Excuse me? What logic is behind that???
And I AM BLOODY PROUD OF MYSELF, MY HUBBY AND EVERYONE AT THE ORGANISATION THAT WE MANAGED TO GET A TEAM STARTED FROM SCRATCH, WITH NO MAJOR (AND NOT EVEN THAT MANY MINOR) SPONSORS AND KEPT THE TEAM GOING SINCE 2002 - AND ARE NOW PLAYING AT A STADIUM, RUNNING A RESIDENTIAL TRAINING CAMP, HAVE AT LEAST 1 COMBINE PER YEAR WHICH OTHER TEAMS CAN ATTEND AND HAVE AN EVER GROWING SQUAD ... AND THIS YEAR EVEN AN EVER GROWING VOLUNTEER BASE!!!
Probably should have just left it at deleting the comment, but the total randomness of it really made me wonder what people THINK sometimes... :o
Ah well... off to get dinner going and check our "Bank of Euros". And before you lovely people get worried ... I am not angry or upset with that comment ... a bit bewildered, yes, but I am fine... ;) Find it quite amusing as well...considering the website/blog of the commentator.. ;)
Oh ... and I have to say ... that's the only nasty/not so nice comment on my blog since I started ... think I can count myself lucky, considering the kind of people some of my fellow bloggers have to deal with.
