Some Crafty Things

Yes, I know ... I am wayyyy behind with the Christmas Journal ... or better: I haven't even STARTED this year's layouts. :o But I am planning on catching up the next couple of days. :)

BUT - I haven't been idle the last weeks ... I have been making Christmas Cards (see below). The ones with Tags (apart from the one with the Sizzix Stocking) were quickly put together - I had lots of Christmas Tags from a swap from 2005 (??) and just added them to either patterned paper or on cardstock embossed with the Cuttlebug embossing templates (the Snowflake one is courtesy of Lisa, the word one with the cute snowman is my own).

And I sooo hope that Santa will get me a Cuttlebug .. but somehow think shops are out of stock, so hopefully it's going to be my Birthday Pressie?!?! (hint hint hint LOL)

Phew!!! Took me longer than I thought!!! :) Maybe I should leave the crafty bits out ... I am a slow scrapper after all (found that out at the Cyber Crop!!). But have to say I LOVE that LO. Used acetate with stazon white opaque (over photo), snowflake eyelets, snowflake button and snowflake vellum sticker. The prompt today suggested we cut a paper snowflake ... well, I had three attempts and am absolutely rubbish at it!! So I decided I try my luck with a quilled snowflake ... first time ever for me to do a snowflake and you can see the wonky result! LOL.

 Here is my Final Round up for the Photo Scavenger Hunt 2013: 1. Open air market (Market Stall outside Kew Station, London) 2. Theater for performing arts (not a movie theater) ( Edinburgh Festival Theatre ) 3. City Hall, Capitol or other similar civic building (Dumfries Council Buildings) 4. Airplane (Our Virgin Flight plane to London) 5. A sunset (opted for another picture than posted before, as this sunset is more stunning! It’s taken at Knockbrex House, Dumfries & Galloway, with view of the Bay) 6. Someone or something taking a nap (there’s too much cuteness about, and still so many photos of the Hobbits falling asleep ) 7. Official!!!

Still struggling with sleep deprivation from Superbowl on Sunday, but hey … maybe I’ll get finally to sleep BEFORE midnight. And since 11am this morning the “little secret” from the Adamsons is now not a secret anymore. WE ARE PREGNANT WITH TWINS!!!!  The IVF run in December was positive (typical, the one we thought won’t do anything and we’ll have to go down to London to get immune issues checked out), and we had our official 12 week scan today. Both Chip and Chap are doing fine, are moving about, have all limbs and noses and chins and heartbeats. And I’m feeling as if a big rock’s been removed from my shoulders … have been reading too many horror stories about twin pregnancies resulting in just one baby born or even losing both. Think with 5 years IVF in the bag we know far too much about the medical background and are more likely to worry about what COULD go wrong instead of “enjoying the pregnancy”.
