Sunny Monday

Well... more or less... it's changing quite fast, so I assume we've got strong winds outside (it definitely was stormy yesterday, both my dwarf rhodies are fallen over - really consider taking them out of the pots and plant them into the ground. :( Currently taking a break from doing some housework ... done the washing up, put on/empty the dishwasher and currently got the 2nd Wolves wash going. Also have done some ironing. The weather is still too cold to hang the washing outside I think, but it's still nice to see the sun out. Went to training yesterday and had a weird day, weather-wise. We woke up to about 1 inch of snow on the car plus slush on the street, but sun was shining and everything was ok. On our way to JKC the sky got really grey and suddenly we were in a small blizzard!! Got to JKC and the sun was shining and hardly any snow on the ground. During Junior training we had our 2nd small blizzard ... and during adult training the 3rd. :o DH was really worried ho...

A little productive

Earache still there, but have been up and about since 9am as our friend John has been fixing our car (he took it to the MOT last week and they suggested we do some fixing). Done the washing up, some ironing and have currently the 2nd wash on. So ... not too bad, considering I am not feeling 100%. Weather is a bit weird today as well ... was grey when I woke up, then around 11am it started to snow (was fairly cold too) and now we have sunshine, no snow and possibly still fairly cold. My earache is weird - it's not a constant pain, just very dull and suddenly a very sharp pain. :( Don't like that at all. If I am not going to get the CJs done today I'll do it tomorrow - don't have to keep anyone company then. :) Also, met up with Dawn for a cuppa yesterday after work and we had a good natter about treatments etc. We both getting to the point to look into other options, like other tests etc which EFREC cannot provide. Lots of things to read up and check. I've got 2 p...

Let's get stimming!! :)

This morning was the first injection due ... and because I am working 2 days per week and the injections should be done approx the same time I've decided to do the "needlework" around 7:45am . HUH! Not very nice on my days off and the weekend, specially if you cannot fall asleep again afterwards as the whole thing feels like either chemistry or cooking class... take 1 vial of liquid, flick down liquid into bottom part, break vial neck, attach big needle to syringe, pull up liquid with syringe, fill 1st vial with powder, mix, pull up solution and fill 2nd vial, mix, pull up in syringe, fill 3rd vial, mix, pull up in syringe, change needle, flick out all air bubbles, squeeze tummy fat, wipe with alcoholic wipe, inject, dispose of syringe/needle/alcoholic wipe. And all that takes approx 10 mins. And that's only for the 1st injection! From 12th I have to inject the down regging (shutting down) stuff as well as the Zolly will be at its end then. AAAH, joy! But all went wel...

First painkiller free day

for the post OP pain that is. Just to kick me up the back side my head decided to put in a migraine for good measure. :( Woke up with headache after 6 hours sleep (just couldn't fall asleep last night) and during the day it disappeared and now I have the blurry vision - so "4head" and 2 co-codamol to prevent any further attacks... Tummy is all blue and yellow, nice bruises really. The nurse at my GP has no appointments free until Thursday, so getting the stitches out won't happen until then. Currently not happy with the whole thing - laparoscopy to drain the cyst is fine, then about 6-12 monhts later it's refilled as they don't remove the cyst because they are worried about damaging the ovary. So I am going to have laps again and again, until we may have a positive IVF cycle and then my specialist strongly suggests we go down the road of hysterectomy/removal of the ovaries. I know that I had endo probably since I started to have my period as I always had very...

And just when you thought everything is going ok ...

then you get another stone thrown into the way!!! We've been to our post treatment talk today and the usual "everything was fine with both fresh cycles and the thaw cycle, and of course there's the lower chance of a positive result with the latter anyway" blablablah ... and the usual "Shifting a little weight may help" (not surprise to hear THAT again... it's the only thing they seem to bring up, as there's nothing wrong with the development of my follies and my embies are fine as well... So back to that again, keeping on the diet (FED UP with detox right now, fancy "Gruene Sosse" and stuff like that) and hopefully feel up for a bit of swim or gym come Thursday! Then we went for a scan, just to check how my endometriosis is doing (well ... more likely how the cyst is behaving). I had very bad cramps last weekend with the period, so was kinda warned, but to hear that the blimming thing is already 4x6cms again!!! Little shock there. So the D...

No final decision

on our next IVF cycle that is ... Arrived early for the scan, and the place was deserted!!! :) So we got an earlier appointment, quick scan etc. Had Dr. T around for the scan again... not sure if I should be honoured that he's doing the scans since my first cyst appeared in October, or if I should be worried.... :o Scan showed big cyst going down to 3cms diameter and they found another small one now. Dr T wants me to go on 3 more months of Zoladex, and have another scan end of March. While DH and I were actually thinking of waiting the 8-12 months until we're on top of the NHS list, Dr T seems to prefer to get me going with the next available date for me ... think he's worried about the severity of the endometriosis. Just exactly the news I needed to hear, isn't it? I've got enough on the plate as it is, with studying for the exam and me not being the best in remembering just now ... :o DH and I had a bit of a bust up in the car as well, about a small thing like hol...
