7 wk scan!!

The whole IVF stuff is surreal as it is, but after a positive result it’s just weird! During the cycle you go to the clinic about twice a week for bloods and scans – then the 2WW (2 week wait) is bad enough, as you don’t have ANY contact with the clinic. Zilch, Nada! You go back for the blood test, phone in for the result during lunch and then get your result … in our case it was mostly negatives, one low number positive (which then went up and resulted in an m/c in 2007 at week 6 (?) ). This time of course huge number (pointing towards twins) – and then you’re on your own. Feels weird, actually, I felt quite lost! 5 blinking weeks to cover time before you go in for a scan!!! Time enough to drive desperate people mental, really!! Think if I’d at least more “signs” (only had headaches and the telltale “chest” signs) I wouldn’t have been that bad … but with NO morning sickness I felt something was missing!! Well… scan was the same day as my first day back at work… so we went ther...

Do you see this??? And this??? means I am back in the works again! Scan today showed lining is very thin, so I will start stims next Thursday. :o The scan also showed some fluid in the uterine cavity, so I'll have to take antibiotics a couple of days prior to EC. They didn't say where it came from, but assured us that it won't affect the IVF cycle. Well... let's just hope that. eh?

No final decision

on our next IVF cycle that is ... Arrived early for the scan, and the place was deserted!!! :) So we got an earlier appointment, quick scan etc. Had Dr. T around for the scan again... not sure if I should be honoured that he's doing the scans since my first cyst appeared in October, or if I should be worried.... :o Scan showed big cyst going down to 3cms diameter and they found another small one now. Dr T wants me to go on 3 more months of Zoladex, and have another scan end of March. While DH and I were actually thinking of waiting the 8-12 months until we're on top of the NHS list, Dr T seems to prefer to get me going with the next available date for me ... think he's worried about the severity of the endometriosis. Just exactly the news I needed to hear, isn't it? I've got enough on the plate as it is, with studying for the exam and me not being the best in remembering just now ... :o DH and I had a bit of a bust up in the car as well, about a small thing like hol...
