My Life's Ingredients

Why does it always look WORSE when you tidy stuff than it looked before (before it looks better after tidying)? The pantry itself looks better, but I have now half of the stuff in the living room & kitchen ... aaarrrgghhh!!! Fed up! :( Would like to drop everything now but will have to go ahead with the stuff. I'm doing inventory at the same time (it's scary when you come across stuff dated 2006 hidden away in a corner... isn't it??? ;) And that's not all!!! Getting phone calls/messages from DH and DFIL about car battery, tried starting the car at 3:30pm and it just did a little sound and then stopped again. So DH got a bit agitated (he's down south in Doncaster for the BAFL Scheduling Meeting...well, he's on the train back home now) because he's not home and can't help to fix it (doubt he would have reacted different IF he'd been home mind! ;) ) and of course I couldn't explain things properly (just a little woman here! :( ). So started cha...

It's been quite a mess down there ... throughout the season and up to our awards night and the League end of season meeting. Tons of posters/flyers/tickets/business cards, paperwork, the odd small football gear (odd knee/thigh pads, balls, towels for the balls, black electrical tape for the lids). Just got dumped there and nobody at Wolves HQ was in the mood to clear it away. ;) Fortunately DH has invited friends over for dinner tomorrow, so I did a jumpstart on the cleaning, just have to do the hoovering and put the ironing away (which I've whittled down to 1 big basket to be done over the week... phew!). I also put some new purchases for the garden in the shed and am now hoping that the weather holds so I can mow the lawn on Saturday or Sunday ... doubt I will have time to do it tomorrow. Can't believe it's just 1.5 weeks to go until we're off to Florida.... :o !!! Still have to get other things sorted and then of course packed!! AAAAH!!! Have to get the lab ...

Seems I am getting regular with blogging on Fridays! :) Thoughts of today? Done some housework (been up and down to the loft for a bit, been to the Plastic & Clothes bank and arranged to get my last Zolly prescription sorted - the docs only gave me 2 last time in error - so picked up the 3rd today), have been doing the washing up and emptying/filling the dishwasher. Then I searched again for my Christmas Planner. .. printed most prompts and cleaning info off in 2005 but couldn't find it all week when I was searching for it. Printed a couple more prompts off and found birthday presents for FIL. Oh, and found some nice crafty Christmas planners (via links from above), printed off the instructions and will have a go at that at some point. Now I just have to make 3 birthday cards. Will do that tomorrow some time. Now DH and I will be off to do our 2nd session of the Killer - 60 - mins - Cardio in a bit... am still sore from Wednesday, but it's not too bad. Will get better with ...

We got our tickets for both parades. Also have one of our friends from the BAFL going to Orlando about the same time, and we're going to meet up for the MNSSH. That's FUN! Probably more fun than just us 2 alone. :) Might even be able to get together with Mel for some scrapbook shopping (will do it anyway, but Mel's scrapping as well). Won't be able to do any pumpkin carving this year... :o Ah well... will see what nice autumn/halloweeny stuff I can find in Orlando for 2009! :D Instead we'll be over for the ELECTION! Have been over in the past for important dates really, like we were over when GWB decided to invade Iraq in 2003. And we went over just shortly after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans... and were in Orlando when the Hurricanes Wilma (2005) and Floyd (1999) hit. DH suggested we should be a measurement for the Hurricane watch ... they seem to come along when we want to go on holiday. :D Right ... off to mow the lawn now ... will have to check for cat poo...

Day off and I am trying to catch up with housework a little... was hoping for sunny day so I can mow the lawn, de-weed (lol) the front patch and hang out washing. So far I've done neither ... it looks like rain, so 1 and 2 are out, may have a chance of 3 if it's only stormy without the rain. Done the washing up, emptied the dishwasher (and put breakfast plates in) and will be hoovering the stairs in a bit. Getting interrupted by telephone calls though. Twice already DH about football stuff (not even romantic - it's like office work at home really) and just to get me totally up the wall for the next call from DH - one of those stupid cold calls by a call robot where nobody is even at the other end and that's exactly what they tell you in a recorded message. WHY THE BLOOMING HECK DO THEY DO THAT??? WHY COLD CALL IF THEY DO IT WITH THAT STUPID MACHINE??? I *H*A*T*E* cold calls as it is, i.e. with someone on the other line, but at least I can tell them to take us off their...

Einige der Maedels vom SBS Forum haben ihre Scrapecke/Scrapraum usw in ihren Blogs gepostet, nachdem Jana dazu aufgerufen hatte. Ich hab mich ja die ganze Zeit nicht getraut, da hier wirklich die HOELLE los ist und ich wirklich nur beim Edinburgh Crop zum scrappen komme (und ich war im Juni beim letzten Crop!)... Kein Mojo, und auch einfach KEIN PLATZ!!! Naja... wenn ihr so die Fotos seht, ist das irgendwie kein Wunder... OOOPS! Ich habe vor, dieses Chaos waehrend der naechsten Tage ein bisschen in Ordnung zu bringen ... damit ich weiss, was ich eigentlich in Perth kaufen MUSS!! ;) Wir (einige Maedels vom Ediburgh Crop) machen naemlich am Mittwoch einen kleinen Scrapperausflug hoch zu dem Scrapbookshop da oben!! ;) Some of the girls of the SBS Forum posted a photo of their Scraparea/Scraproom in their Blogs, after Jana posted a challenge to show them on her blog. This time I am on the sending end, after I've called them "Parcelfarce" when we're at the receiving end... :O A box is waiting downstairs for pick up ... containing one complete football set ... pants, lowers, shoulder pads, jersey (old Wolves) and lid. Some photoshoot thingy in LONDON!!! So somehow the guy contacted us, after he didn't get anywhere with the teams in and around London. HAPPY TO OBLIGE!! Any promotion of our team is good ... as long as it is not dodgy!! :D First time I did the PF thing ... online, and pick up! At least I don't have to go to our PO with the box. That would be fun (NOT). Now ... am I going to start cleaning the bathroom? Or just do some scrapping or so while waiting for the Parcelforce guy? ... Mmmmh... think it's the bathroom ... really NEEDS some TLC just now. :)
