Just a quick update on crafty things... ;) I've signed up for another swap on Craftster ... :o But hey ... it's for a great person and fab crafter and I'm looking forward to making items for her (edited - that's already finished and sent - "Back to Hogwarts Swap" for Ant Bee). Just some random things & Crafty List

Another busy week again ... really can't wait for the nursery to start up! :) On Friday the girls were "camping" ... downstairs in the living room, with daddy on the airbed beside the tent. That was the easiest solution for us to have their bedroom ready for the replacement of the old Velux Window on Saturday morning. ;) They liked it a lot, and who knows, maybe next step is sleeping out in the garden for a night ... next year? ;) Of course we had an early morning, not only for Niz to come and replace the window, but also because the girls were due to go to yet another (!!!) birthday party! Seems since nursery broke up they've been to 1-2 birthday parties each week!! And we still have 2 more to go! ;) I myself was very busy last week finishing off my first Kat's Geek Krafts order (!!) of 25 custom bags. I will post a photo after the event, just in case the organisers want to keep the design a surprise. Just can say it's "Shiny" and inv...

Things that should have been on the Crafty list ....

Image
... but somehow I forgot to add them! ;) Two requests from hubby for work ... 1 card (Castle TV Show) and a leaving present for one of his colleagues/line managers.  Just quick crafty things which - thanks to my Cammy - I can rustle up in an evening/couple of hours when the Hobbitses are not underfoot.  Still plotting/planning on the swap item and then more crafting after this weekend.

Very productive Crop today!! :)

Image
With some pondering we decided that I'd ask my fellow "cropper" Jenny if she's able to give me a lift today, which would mean hubby would have the car to pick up the Hobbitses and he could go shopping the same day (instead of all of us having to traipse out to the shops tomorrow).  This meant I had to cut down on stuff to take to the crop (usually that involves 3 RuB boxes and several bags!!). So I stuck with 3 bags and my craft tote. I already made a plan yesterday what to do at the crop (1 father's day card for FIL, 1 get well soon card for a fellow Craftster, our monthly scrapbook layout challenge and I wanted to blackboard paint the lower part of the girls' leaving present for their nursery teachers).  So ... more organised than usual (everything but the kitchen sink) I actually got EVERYTHING done bar the Get Well Soon card, but I made that decision already yesterday evening after cinema, as I didn't feel like getting my Cameo (Silhouette) se...

In the works ... Lists of Fandoms

Image
As already mentioned in 2 posts before, I'm planning a Fandom Bookshelf quilt (that's beside all the other quilts/pillow cases etc I want to make from the Fandom in Stitches Website!!!). Now, I had posted this list already on Facebook, but it's easier for me to have it on the blog for keeping track of it. I still have to adjust things... and I'm not sure I'll get all of my fandoms together in my little twin-addled brain (or even on paper!)!! ;) TV/Movies DC (yeah... probably the whole lot!!Cinematic Universe) Marvel (to hubby's dismay ) - Cinematic Universe only, and most likely restricted to Avengers (& individuals & spin offs) and X-men Doctor Who The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (books & movies) The Hobbit (book & movies) Game of Thrones Disney  (anything really!) Harry Potter Thunderbirds Outlander Sherlock Holmes (RDJ & BC) Star Wars Star Trek (in some way/shape/form) Chuck Castle Person of Interest The Librarian ...

10 Things on the 10th

Image
Ok, seems I’m doing this every other month maybe. I was thinking a lot about things I did in my kiddyhood and teens that my girls won’t be able to do (for whatever reason). See a movie at a drive-in cinema (the one I’d been to was closed and is now derelict since about middle of the 90’s I think) Camping with friends on a patch of land in the cul-de-sac (now it’s all in back gardens only) Go for a midnight walk in the woods during aforementioned camping (parents wouldn’t allow camping outwith house boundaries nowadays – lots of scare about abduction etc) Go for midnight swimming during aforementioned midnight walk (doubt there are any pools available and it’s too much scare for kids to do this now) Get fresh water for your tea in a well in the hills (not sure if the one in my area in Germany still exists, but don’t know of any around here really) Regular street parties with neighbours (does anyone do that around here? We had that regularly, and it was absolut...
